Kairos Prison Ministry Australia and Jesus Racing join to share stories of lives changed by grace

In life there often isn’t a second chance. Once a mistake is made the consequences are given. Whether a word spoken, a wrong step, or a poor decision – we can’t take it back.

The offer of forgiveness for mistakes we all make is what makes the grace of Jesus so compelling, and why millions of people around the world have taken the second chance he freely gives!

Every Christian has a story of choice and change, and for some, the second chance given really did come when they were at their worst. And you can hear some of these amazing stories at an upcoming event for Christians, being held in Western Sydney this November.

Jesus Racing, the Life Choices Foundation and Kairos Prison Ministry Australia have teamed up to put on an exciting and inspiring event – Changing Lives from the Inside Out! The event will take place on Saturday, 30th November from 2pm to 4pm at Stanhope Anglican Church.

“It is the hope that we gain from forgiveness that is compelling” says Andrew Fisher, Founder of Jesus Racing. “Forgiveness releases us from the hold that the past has over us and allows us the opportunity to create a new life where we can experience the freedom to become the person that God wants us to be.”

Misconceptions about Christians ‘giving up the good life’ and having no fun led Andrew to create Jesus Racing Team, a team that has competed at the highest level of Australian motorsport. This experience led him to another passion, being a light and influence for the choices of others as an ambassador for the Life Choices Foundation.

Kairos Prison Ministry Australia is an interdenominational Christian ministry whose volunteers reach out to incarcerated individuals and their families to bring meaning and hope in places of loneliness, isolation and despair.

Their partnership for this event is an exciting collaboration of Christian conviction to see people in all circumstances, even the ones uncomfortable to many – like prison, experience the love of God and grace Jesus offers.

Kairos Chair, Colin Stiller, says “Together we are complimentary and are stronger supporting each other. We’re both reaching out to the community from school to families and to those in prison.”

This event is an invitation for Christians to spend an afternoon hearing powerful, real-life stories of transformation—stories of individuals who, in the face of hard and often heartbreaking circumstances, have found hope and freedom through the grace of God. People from all denominations are invited!

Attendees of the event will have the opportunity to learn more about the unique work both Kairos and the Life Choices Foundation are doing in the prison system, families and beyond.

“This event will allow people to better understand the need, the opportunity, and the amazing interest inmates have in faith,” Fisher adds.

Kairos and Jesus Racing invite all Christians, church members, and ministry-minded people to attend this inspiring event on the 30th of November.
