On Thursday 15 May I had the pleasure of attending the Closing Ceremony of KI Tamworth #10 Short Course. The Holy Spirit was indeed present. After twelve years of waiting on the Lord to open the door to enable the Tamworth team to present a Short Course at the Tamworth Correctional Centre, the team was granted permission to recommence the ministry program.
The team modelled servanthood and humility, lovingly caring for the inmates who accepted the invitation to participate in the short course.
Chaplain Chuck had previously been on several Short Courses at the facility as a team member (Clergy), prior to the Kairos Prison Ministry program being paused in the facility. During the closure period he undertook training to become a Prison Chaplain. It was wonderful to have him there as Prison Chaplain for this first Short Course after such a long break.
The team was ably led by Bill Johns with Ken Moore advising him. Bill had been faithfully praying for the recommencement of the programs in the facility for the past twelve years.
The team was radiant at the closing as were the graduates of the program.
Praise the Lord for answering the prayers of these faithful servants and allowing them to share the love and forgiveness of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Thanks and blessings.
