What an amazing week with the Ladies and we thank God for His love, grace and mercy poured out on us all during the Short Course.
We held our first Journey after the Short Course yesterday and what we witnessed in the Graduates exceeded all expectations. The four Graduates greeted us beaming with joy and a hug and shared how they had grown in their faith, were reading their Bibles, meeting together to pray and support and encourage each other. The Ladies shared how they felt more content and had grown closer to the Holy Spirit in their lives. We sang ‘Unchained’ and one of the Graduates lead the singing, it was amazing to see the transformation in her and the joy in her face, compared to what she was like previously. They also mentioned they were adjusting back to prison food after the abundance of delicious food they had enjoyed at the Short Course.
The Graduates commented how they could not believe what we did for them at the Short Course, the love and care we showed them. The fact that we turned up to do all this for them, expecting nothing in return, has prompted them to care and support each other.
Sr Theresa mentioned that a Psychologist had emailed Louise last week to let her know that the Kairos Short Course had a really positive impact on the women. They felt better about themselves and spirits had been lifted.
What a privilege to bear witness to the transformation in the Ladies and we thank our mighty God for His abundant blessings and provision.
God bless you all.
