Let us celebrate the success of the inaugural Short Course held at South Coast Correctional Centre in Nowra NSW! We have learnt to be patient and wait on the Lord. After 10 years of prayer we were finally able to enter the South Coast Correctional Centre and minister to twenty four inmates. Praise God!
The volunteer team came from Sydney, Southern Highlands and the South Coast of New South Wales to participate in team formation and deliver the Short Course. The Illawarra and South Coast Churches have embraced the ministry and provided unbelievable support.
City Church in Nowra provided access to kitchen facilities and a home base for volunteers during the Short Course. Hope Centre at the Anglican Church in Nowra has been the home base for team formation. We are thankful for this strong community of Christians.
At the end of the Short Course, 53 people attended the closing ceremony including 8 from the prison administration team – a great encouragement for the participants and team.
Following the Short Course, we go back for the Journey program commencing 22nd April and it will run every two weeks until September. Plans are underway to run KI South Coast #2 in September 2026.
We ask you for your prayer support as we go back for the Journey program and prepare for the next course.
