About Us
Kairos Outside North Queensland (KONQ) launched its first Program in 2012 – a great achievement following a decade of fundraising and team building. In 2023 we resumed the Programs after COVID for the second time for KONQ #10 – Overcomers!! A prophetic message for us as a Region and our Guests.
Our Region reaches as far north as Cairns, south to Townsville and the Burdekin and West to Atherton and Charters Towers. We hold our programs in Kennedy, surrounded by beautiful green pastures and gently mulling cattle, KONQ is a special time of escape (made all the more potent by the lack of phone reception!).
We have community hubs in Charters Towers, Townsville, Kennedy, Cairns and the Tablelands who stay connected and offer ongoing support to Guests. While distance is a barrier, we overcome this by using online video conferencing applications.
