Moyra, Magda, Ann and Margaret from Kairos Outside Adelaide recently hosted a table at a Zonta Event for community groups.
Margaret said: “I would class the day as highly successful through everyone’s efforts to network and meet people from different support groups. Zonta encourages many groups, and all were accommodated in the Mitcham Soldiers Memorial Gardens – an Adelaide suburb. Information about KO was given and received in the form of word of mouth, as well as brochures and pamphlets. Added to these groups were the Police; S.E.S. and Scouts.
It was an easy and enjoyable time. We sold some cold drinks and others sold various types of food, but the real value was the networking. The flow of visitors was not huge, but was steady and of great value in the promotion of our position in society. Weather was fine, though somewhat cool and cloudy.
The event is called an Expo, and is now an annual event, which began three years ago. KO has attended each year”.
