I have to say that the four days spent at Parklea were the most profound spiritual experience I have ever had. I have found my primary purpose and ministry in life at the age of 76! The program has been developed with great insight and wisdom over many years, and the content of each of the talks is designed to unpack a process of reflection for the prisoners which helps them to recognise their potential – and God’s amazing plan for their lives. It was deeply moving to see the Holy Spirit impacting men in such a powerful way. They could not resist the love of God, triggered by the talks and the reception they got from the Team (including the Outside Team). Disrupters were calmed and started participating meaningfully, and the whole environment in our conference room was transformed over the 4 days from one of suspicion and uncertainty – to enthusiasm and abounding joy.

I can only echo what Cedric has written. Parklea Area 4, #14 was special. I saw men whom I had met previously change from timid, sad men to confident men with smiles. One of them will be going home next week – what a send off! What a blessing it is to be able to work on God’s ministry into prisons.
