Ten volunteers attended a Kairos Outside Advanced Kairos Training weekend on 11 to 13 July which was held in Bassendean in Perth. The training was conducted from Friday night through to Sunday afternoon.
Members of the Perth Regional Committee and upcoming leaders for KO Perth and volunteers on a leadership track from KO Sydney and KO New England were in attendance. As well as working through the AKT training workbooks the participants watched enactments of both a thanksgiving service and a birthday celebration.
Thanks to Jenny Bothma for doing the on the ground organising of the training and to Ben and Jenny for providing their home as the venue for the training. Their wonderful hospitality was very much appreciated by everyone. Four trainers attended and presented the training which was led by Coraine and included trainers from South Australia Western Australia and Perth. This is essential training for Kairos volunteer leaders.
