Kairos Outside
For Women impacted by the imprisonment of family or friends
Kairos Outside provides support for female relatives or friends of a current or former prison inmate. It begins with a weekend designed to create a safe and understanding environment in which participants can share with other women who have been through similar experiences.
"For I know the plans I have for you" declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give hope and a future."
Jeremiah 29:11
In a 2½-day setting, women can share openly and confidentially. Talks and meditations are designed to address the pain of enduring separation from their loved one, and the judgment of others from their community.
Through the respect, love and warmth they feel from the Kairos volunteers, the walls they have built for their protection can begin to come down. The continuing ministry of Reunions and SWAP (Share With A Purpose) groups allows the women to grow in their Christian faith and become active.

Who is Kairos?
Kairos Prison Ministry Australia is an interdenominational Christian ministry reaching out to incarcerated individuals, their families and those who work with them; to bring sustainable meaning and hope in the place of loneliness, isolation and despair.
Kairos is building Christian Community in response to the challenge issued by our Lord Jesus “I was in prison and you visited me” (Matt 25:36) to share with inmates and their families the unconditional love of God. To enable a vision of the abundant life that a relationship with Jesus gives.
Kairos is a ministry where volunteers work together as the body of Christ and set aside denominational differences to serve together and to embody the true meaning of church.
